rubber band payback

Description
This short skit was purely random; I was testing out a new camera that I bought and comparing the different zoom methods when out of nowhere a mountain dew bottle flies in my direction. Some people have asked me how I added some of the effects such as slow motion, background music, etc so here are the answers: This video was created and edited on linux. I use a combination of utilities, however The Gimp and Cinelerra are the most used. The background music is simply added as two additional tracks and I adjust the audio volume up or down between certain keyframes. The images were created with The Gimp and then converted to a video using a combination of mencoder and a perl script I wrote to replicate the image multiple times. The video fade in/out was done similar to the audio. This is by no means a sample of my best work, but it was certainly fun. Unfortunately in order to produce a sample capable of meeting YouTuve's guidelines for upload the video quality was greatly reduced and the upload process shifted the audio by .34 seconds. If you want the resources used in this video (including the project xml) or a high quality version (720x480 resolution - HD/DVD Quality) message me and I'll try to oblige.
